A great all natural summertime treat
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon finely shredded lemon peel (just the yellow part; avoid the white pith). You can use the jarred peel.
- 1 cup lemon juice
Directions
- Heat water and sugar to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in lemon peel and lemon juice.
- Cool to room temperature. Pour into a loaf pan 9''X5''X3''.
- Freeze 3-4 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
