Ingredients
- 1 lb. boneless top sirloin, 1'' thick
- 1/4 cup dry sherry
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon fresh sliced ginger
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dark roasted sesame seed oil
- 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup green onions
Directions
- Combine ingredients in a plastic bag and shake to mix well.
- Add meat and marinate 15 minutes. Reserve marinade.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes. Add steak and cook 12-15 minutes, turning once. Remove steak and keep warm.
- Dissolve 2 teaspoons cornstarch in marinade and 1/4 cup water. Add to skillet. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, stirring constantly.
- Carve steak into thin slices and serve over rice. Sprinkle with green onions as a garnish.
