General Confusions Fried Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 cups vegetable or canola oil, heated to 375 degrees F
  • 1 broiler chicken, cut into 8 pieces
  • 2 eggs whites, beaten
  • 3/4 cup Bisquick
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • pinch of cayenne pepper

Directions

  1. Combine all the seasonings in a pie plate. Place chicken pieces into dry mixture and then roll them in the egg white, then back again in the seasonings mix.
  2. Cook 2-3 pieces at a time. DO NOT COVER PAN
  3. Cook legs and thighs about 18 minutes
  4. Cook breasts and wings about 15 minutes.
  5. Chicken coating will be dark brown.
