Baked Apple Crisp

Ingredients
- 6 large apples, peeled, cored and sliced (about 8 cups)
- 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Spray an 8 inch square baking pan with a nonstick cooking spray. Spread apples in the pan.
- Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl. Cut butter into flour mixture until the mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in the oats (and nuts) and sprinkle over the apples.
- Bake at 375 degrees F for 30-35 minutes or until apples are tender.
- Serve warm
