Coconut Pecan Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 egg yolks, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except coconut and pecans in a saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened about 12-15 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat. Add coconut and pecans. Cool, stirring occasionally.
