White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Brownie Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 2/3 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup white chocolate morsels
- 1 cup chopped macadamia nuts
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Beat first 4 ingredients at medium speed with an electric mixer until fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until well blended after each addition.
- Combine flour and next 3 ingredients, gradually add to sugar mixture, mixing until just blended. Stir in chocolate morsels and macadamia nuts.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls, 2'' apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake 1 sheet at a time for 9-12 minutes or until cookies are just set.
- Cool cookies on baking sheets 2 minutes. Remove to aluminum foil covered wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Baking for 9 minutes results in chewy cookies and baking for 11 minutes results in a crispier cookie.
