Think of them as bruschetta without the bread. Delicious baked tomatoes with cheese and oregano.
Ingredients
- 2 medium or 3 Roma tomatoes
- 1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
- Dried or fresh oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
Directions
- Slice tomatoes 1/4'' thick and place on cookie sheet
- Sprinkle or grate Parmesan directly onto tomatoes
- Place fresh oregano or sprinkle liberally
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Drizzle or spray with olive oil
- Bake at 450 deg F for 7 minutes or mil cheese is bubbly
Notes
Substitute oregano for basil if desired
