Make fruit rolls without a dehydrator
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups fresh fruit - any flavor or combination you like.
- 1 apple - for texture
- 1/4 cup of water
Directions
- Peel and core apple and properly prepare other fruits as you would eat them.
- Add to a pot and heat over low/medium heat on the stove, adding just enough water to get them to soften depending on the type of fruit you are using.
- Once warmed and softened transfer fruit to a blender and puree. Add more water if necessary so you have a thick jelly like mixture.
- Line a cookie sheet or baking dish with parchment or wax paper.
- Thinly spread fruit onto papered cookie sheet.
- Heat in oven at 140-150 degrees for 5-8 hours or until it is dry enough that it does not move apart when touched.
- Once cooled, slice the fruit leather and paper together and roll up.
- Store in air tight container or bag
