Blackberry Mint Margarita

How Margaritas do Winter

Ingredients

  • 10 Blackberries
  • 4 Fresh Mint leaves
  • 3 Oz. Silver Tequila
  • 2 Oz. Lime Juice
  • 3 Oz. Sugar Syrup
  • 1 Mini candy cane

Directions

  1. Sugar syrup: bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. turn off heat and stir in 1/2 cup granulated sugar until dissolved. Cool/Refrigerate up to 1 week.
  2. Crush Mini candy cane in a bag using a meat mallet or rolling pin. Dip glass or rub rim with honey or other sticky thick syrup then dip in crushed candy cane.
  3. Add mint leaves and 8 blackberries to shaker. Mash together with back of spoon.
  4. Add Lime Juice, Tequila and sugar syrup with ice to shaker. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour into glass with ice, straining the ice and some of the blackberry seeds/mint leaves. Garnish with 2 skewered blackberries and mint sprig.
