Guava Serrano Margarita

Tropical and spicy twist on a margarita
Ingredients
- 6 Oz. Guava Juice (or nectar)
- 1 1/2 Oz Silver Tequila
- 1/2 Oz Cointreau (or Triple Sec)
- 1/2 Oz lime juice
- 1 Oz Serrano Syrup
- 2 Slices of Dragon Fruit (optional)
- Coarse Sea Salt
- Chili Powder
Directions
- Serrano syrup: bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. turn heat down to low/med and stir in 1/2 cup granulated sugar until dissolved. Add 1 Serrano sliced in half and simmer for 5 minutes. Cool/Refrigerate up to 1 week.
- Mix Chili Powder with salt and rim glass using lime wedge then dip in salt.
- If using dragon fruit; add it to the shaker first and mash it up with the back of a spoon.
- Add Ice, Guava Juice, Tequila, Cointreau and Serrano Syrup. Shake for 20 seconds and loosely strain into glass with ice allowing some of the dragon fruit to pass through.
- Garnish with a slice of dragon fruit and lime wedge.
