Basil Lime Margarita

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Oz Silver Tequila
  • 1/2 Oz Cointreau
  • 1 Oz Lime Juice (1 large lime)
  • 2 tsp Simple Syrup
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped fresh basil leaves
  • Coarse Sea Salt

Directions

  1. Simple Syrup: Bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. Turn off heat and stir in 1/2 cup granulated sugar until dissolved. Cool/refrigerate for up to 1 week.
  2. Rub glass rim with lime and dip in salt.
  3. Add Tequila, Cointreau, Lime Juice, basil and simple syrup to a shaker with ice.
  4. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds and strain into glass with ice. Garnish with basil sprig.
