Yesterday the damn finally broke on Winter Meetings news, and it was the Rays who came out on top, having secured the services of “World Series hero” Charlie Morton to be the new veteran presence in the Rays rotation.

Initially announced as a two-year, $30 million deal, details have emerged that the Rays were able to add a third-year option on the contract.
