Padres lefty Brad Wieck was diagnosed with testicular cancer earlier this year, reports AJ Cassavell of MLB.coms. The 27-year-old hurler had surgery soon after. Fortunately, Wieck's prognosis appears to be good, though it’s obviously something that will be watched closely by doctors.
