Baltimore has claimed catcher Pedro Severino off waivers from the Nationals, the Orioles announced. In a corresponding move, the club has designated infielder Stevie Wilkerson for assignment. Severino, 25, hasn’t hit much at the big-league level since debuting late in 2015, slashing .187/.273/.287 (47 wRC+) in 282 career big-league plate appearances.
