It’s not as simple as saying “shortstop.” The Cubs infielder begins a rehab assignment Wednesday evening.

I can confirm Addison Russell is joining the Iowa #Cubs tomorrow.

Addison Russell’s suspension, which totaled 40 games, included the final 12 games of the 2018 regular season. With the April 14 snowout, the Cubs will have played 28 games through the end of the series at Seattle next week.
