Update: Newcomb “feels fine” after frightening injury

Sean Newcomb may have dodged a serious bullet. After taking a 102-mph line drive off the back of the head in last night’s game against the Phillies, Mark Bowman reports that Newcomb slept well and is feeling fine the day after.

Newcomb slept throughout the night without any problem. He has a bump on his head and his neck is a little stiff. But other than that, he says he feels fine. https://t.co/AgqtSF3q4c
