Bullpen game backfires on Torey Lovullo
Archie Bradley was handed the ball for his first “Start” since 2016 and it did not go well. While the labeling this an “opener” start by some was never accurate, it was expected Bradley would go about 40 or so pitches. The hope was that he would be efficient enough to get through at least two or three innings and then hand the ball off to Zack Godley.
