Backup catcher agrees to a $5.4 million deal

The White Sox announced on Monday afternoon they had reached a one-year, $5.4 million deal with catcher James McCann, buying out the final year of arbitration with the 2019 All-Star.

The 29-year-old had a career year in 2019, hitting .273 with 26 doubles, 18 home runs, 60 RBIs...
