The Brewers are closing in on a deal with the Mariners to acquire catcher Omar Narvaez, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic (via Twitter). The trade return remains unknown. Narvaez is one of the few backstops in baseball that can match now-former Brewers catcher Yasmani Grandal with the bat. And he’ll cost a whole lot less, bringing three seasons of control that begin with a projected arbitration cost of just $2.9M. That’s not to say the Brewers won’t miss the outgoing Grandal....
