The Brewers have avoided arbitration with right-hander reliever Corey Knebel, whom they’ve signed to a one-year contract, Milwaukee announced. Knebel had been projected to earn $5.125 million in 2020, his penultimate year of arbitration eligibility. The 2019 campaign was a lost season for Knebel, who underwent Tommy John surgery in late March. At last check, however, Knebel was recovering well from the procedure.
