Former Cowboys coach is staying in the NFC East.

Jason Garrett wasn’t retained by the Cowboys but the former Dallas head coach isn’t leaving the NFC East. Garrett has agreed to become the New York Giants’ new offensive coordinator, according to a report from ESPN’s Ed Werder.

The Giants hiring Garrett makes sense in that it gives 38-year-old rookie head coach Joe Judge an experienced presence to lean on.
