Colby Rasmus turns 34 today.

It amazes me that he’s just 34. It seems like he should be older.

Colby was a first round pick in 2005, 28th in all. We picked Ricky Romero 6th. Former Jay Cliff Pennington was taken with the 21st pick.

He was on Baseball America’s top 100 prospects 3 years in row. #29 in 2007, #5 in 2008 and #3 in 2009.
