This season ended like the previous five have, with the Angels on the outside looking in to October.

The Angels managed to stay alive until Friday night, but a weekend sweep punctuated a fifth straight losing season in Anaheim. For the final week, they split six games, beating the Rangers and Padres, but losing all three to the Dodgers.
