Researchers at the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory have developed a way to produce more efficient, recyclable wind turbine blades. The blades are 3D printed with thermoplastics rather than thermoset resin, allowing the materials to be heated in order to retrieve their original polymers for reuse.
