The St. Louis Cardinals farm system has been in a bit of a lull since 2013 where it was ranked the best in the league by Baseball America. Since, it has found itself in the mid-teens and many preseason rankings placed it in a similar spot for 2017. ESPN’s Keith Law ranked them thirteenth, Baseball America twelfth and many others placed them just out of the top ten.
