The Detroit Tigers don’t have a lot left to play for, but manager Brad Ausmus could give the fans something cool to end the season.
Ausmus says he is giving thought to having Andrew Romine play all nine positions in the same game. If that were to happen, Ausmus has his eye on the Tigers’ season finale at Minnesota on Oct. 1. Four players in modern baseball history have played all nine positions in a game. Shane Halter, in 2000 for the Tigers, was the latest to do it.
