SAN FRANCISCO —When news broke that the Miami Marlins were willing to shop slugger Giancarlo Stanton, few were surprised when the San Francisco Giants came knocking. Stanton is coming off of a historic NL MVP campaign in which he almost reached the 60-homer plateau.
No player on the Giants roster hit more than 18 home runs last season, and as a club, the Orange and Black finished at the bottom of the table with 128 total home runs in 2017.
