Masahiro Tanaka was brought over from Japan by the Yankees in 2014 with the idea that he would become their next ace.
Tanaka more or less has been a productive major league pitcher. His rookie ERA of 2.77 was his lowest as a pro in the states, but he had a consistently respectable career in pinstripes until a bit of a setback in 2016 with a 4.74 ERA.
