Fried Cheese Meltaways

Ingredients

  • 1 cup bisquick
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • l lb. mozzarella, cheddar or colby jack cheese, cut into 3/4'' cubes
  • Oil for frying

Directions

  1. Heat oil to 375ºF.
  2. Beat together the bisquick, milk and egg until smooth.
  3. Insert a wooden toothpick into each cube and dip into batter until completely covered.
  4. Fry several cubes at a time, turning until golden, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Drain on paper towels
