Crock Pot Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 cups (3 cans,5 oz. each) tomato juice
  • 15 oz tomato puree
  • 8 oz. Red Beans (rinsed and drained) - half of a can
  • 8 oz. Pinto Beans (rinsed and drained) - half of a can
  • 3/4 cup white or yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 1/4 cup Chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin
  • 3/4 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

Directions

  1. Brown beef in a skillet or crock pot.
  2. Add all other ingredients, stir and cook on low for 4 hours or simmer in a skillet for 2-3 hours.
  3. Stir every 30 minutes.

Notes

Add Tabasco sauce or extra Chili Powder for a spicier Chili
