Chocolate Latte

A lot less pricey than a coffee house - and you can add alcohol for an after dinner treat

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups half and half
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cups strong coffee or espresso
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup warm frothed milk
  • prepared caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup whiskey, optional

Directions

  1. Heat half and half in a saucepan over medium high heat (Do not boil)
  2. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar, coffee, chocolate syrup, vanilla and, if desired, whiskey.
  3. Pour into glass mugs or coffee cups and top with warm frothed milk and a drizzle of caramel sauce
