Pennsylvania Dutch Green Beans

Ingredients
- 3 slices bacon, diced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 can (16oz.) cut green beans
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 hard cooked egg, chopped
Directions
- Cook bacon until crisp and remove from skillet.
- Add onion to 1 tablespoon bacon drippings and cook until tender.
- Blend in cornstarch, salt and dry mustard.
- Drain beans, reserving 1/2 cup of the liquid.
- Stir in reserved liquid and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and translucent.
- Blend in sugar and vinegar. Add beans and heat through.
- Top with bacon and chopped egg.
