Servings: 4 || Yields:

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 lb. Kansas City Strip Steak (or New York Strip Steak)
  • 1 (8oz.) package mixed salad greens
  • 1/2 lb. freshly steamed green beans, halved
  • 4 radishes, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (14oz) artichoke hearts, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon style mustard
  • 1 teaspoon anchovy paste
  • 1 teaspoons snipped fresh chives

Directions

  1. Blend together the lemon-pepper seasoning and fresh black pepper. Rub mixture on both sides of the steak and let stand 10 minutes. Heat a heavy skillet over medium heat. Add steak and sear until done to taste, about 5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Transfer to cutting board and let stand 10 minutes before thinly slicing.
  2. While meat is standing, combine salad greens, green beans, radishes and artichoke hearts.
  3. Combine mayonnaise, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, anchovy paste and chives. Reserve 2 tablespoons and pour remaining dressing over salad. Toss to coat.
  4. Divide the salad among 4 dinner plates. Divide steak and place on salad. Spoon a bit of dressing over each salad.
