Kansas City Steak Salad

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1 lb. Kansas City Strip Steak (or New York Strip Steak)
- 1 (8oz.) package mixed salad greens
- 1/2 lb. freshly steamed green beans, halved
- 4 radishes, thinly sliced
- 1 can (14oz) artichoke hearts, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon style mustard
- 1 teaspoon anchovy paste
- 1 teaspoons snipped fresh chives
Directions
- Blend together the lemon-pepper seasoning and fresh black pepper. Rub mixture on both sides of the steak and let stand 10 minutes. Heat a heavy skillet over medium heat. Add steak and sear until done to taste, about 5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Transfer to cutting board and let stand 10 minutes before thinly slicing.
- While meat is standing, combine salad greens, green beans, radishes and artichoke hearts.
- Combine mayonnaise, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, anchovy paste and chives. Reserve 2 tablespoons and pour remaining dressing over salad. Toss to coat.
- Divide the salad among 4 dinner plates. Divide steak and place on salad. Spoon a bit of dressing over each salad.
