Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 6-8 potatoes, peeled and sliced thinly
  • 3 large onions, sliced thinly
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups milk, scalded
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Parboil potatoes in boiling salted water about 3-5 minutes then drain.
  3. Spray a 10 cup baking dish with a nonstick cooking spray. Layer potatoes and onions, sprinkling with flour, salt and pepper between layers. Pour milk over potatoes and dot with butter.
  4. Cover and bake at 375 degrees F for about 45 minutes. Remove cover and bake 15 minutes longer until top is golden brown.
