Stovetop Rice Pudding
Prep Time: 10 minutes || Cook Time: 40 minutes ||
Total: 50 Minutes
Servings: 4 || Yields:
Ingredients
2 cups whole milk, divided
1 1/2 cups cooked rice
1/3 cup sugar
1 large egg, beaten
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
Place 1 1/2 cups milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Warm milk until bubbles for around edges but don't let it boil.
Add rice and sugar. Turn heat to medium low and let simmer 15-20 minutes.
Stir in remaining milk, beaten egg and vanilla. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened
