Butter Pecan Bars

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar, divided
- 1 cup butter, divided
- 1 1/2 cups pecan pieces
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed, beat flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1/3 cup butter for 2-3 minutes or until particles are fine. Pat firmly into a greased 13X9X2 baking pan. Sprinkle with pecans and press lightly.
- In a 1 qt. saucepan over medium heat, heat remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar and 2/3 cup butter blend until mixture boils. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Drizzle evenly over pecans.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until caramel layer is bubbly. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate morsels. Let stand for 2 minutes. Using a knife, lightly swirl melted morsels into caramel and cut into bars.
