Chocolate Turtles

Ingredients

  • 1 (12oz.) bag caramels
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate pieces
  • 1 cup (4oz.) semi sweet chocolate pieces

Directions

  1. In a saucepan or double boiler, combine caramels and milk and melt over boiling water. Add vanilla and pecans, stirring until mixed. Remove from heat and drop by teaspoons onto a greased sheet of waxed paper. Let candies cool.
  2. In a saucepan or double boiler, melt the chocolates and vanilla stirring frequently for a smooth consistency. Keep chocolate warm enough to stay smooth.
  3. Dip cooled candies into chocolate, shaking off excess and place on the waxed paper to cool.
