Terrific Toffee

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Grease a 9''9 baking dish. Spread pecans in the bottom.
  2. Heat sugar and butter to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil over medium heat about 7 minutes until thick. Immediately spread mixture evenly over nuts in pan.
  3. Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot mixture; cover with a baking sheet to contain the heat while the chocolate melts. Spread chocolate evenly over candy.
  4. While still hot, cut into squares and chill until firm.
