Strawberry Glaze

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 - 3 cups strawberries, rinsed, hulled and mashed
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 1-2 teaspoons lemon juice (optional)

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients and cook over medium heat until thickened.
  2. Cool before using.

Notes

Serve over pound cake, ice cream or any other cake of your choice
