Fruit Filled Watermelon

Ingredients

  • 1 whole watermelon
  • 1 whole Honey Dew
  • 1 whole canteloupe
  • 1 large can pineapple chunks, save 1/3 cup liquid
  • Strawberries, Blueberries, or any other fresh fruit such as grapes, Papaya or Mango
  • 2 Tablespoons each lime juice, lemon juice and orange juice.
  • 2/3 cup extra fine sugar
  • Reserved pineapple juice and enough water to make 1/3 cup liquid.
  • Coconut flakes (optional)

Directions

  1. Cut a thin horizontal slice from the bottom of the watermelon so it rests flat. Slice watermelon in half lengthwise. Scoop out fruit to form a bowl and scoop melon balls from the other half of the watermelon.
  2. Fill bowl with watermelon, Honeydew and Canteloupe balls and add any other fruits you've selected and put into carved out watermelon half.
  3. Mix 2 tablespoons each lemon juice, lime juice and orange juice. Add reserved pineapple juice and enough water to equal 1/3 cup liquid and the 2/3 cup sugar.
  4. Pour over fruit and toss lightly. Add coconut flakes if desired
