Stir Fried Asparagus

This Asparagus has an Asian inspired flavor

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 lbs. asparagus, trimmed, or 2 pkgs. (10oz. each) frozen asparagus spears, cut diagonally in 2'' pieces
  • 1 large clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon each soy sauce and water
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Directions

  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat oil until very hot but not smoking. Add asparagus, garlic and ginger. Stir fry 4 minutes or until slightly tender.
  2. Carefully add soy sauce, water and sugar.
  3. Cover and simmer 2 minutes or until asparagus is crips tender.
