Bourbon Marinated Flank Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Bourbon whiskey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon course ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 2 flank steaks, ( 1 1/2 lb. each) well trimmd

Directions

  1. In a 2 gallon sized ziploc® bag, add water, sugar, Bourbon, soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and pepper.
  2. Add steak and marinate at least 4 hours, turning occasionally.
  3. Remove steaks and DISCARD MARINADE.
  4. Heat grill to medium heat and cook approximately 20 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  5. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Cook time includes 4 hours to marinate.
