Ornament Dough

Prep Time: 30 minutes || Cook Time: 15 minutes || Total: 45 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Baking Soda
  • 1 Cup Cornstarch
  • 1 1/4 Cups Water
  • Food Coloring - Optional

Directions

  1. In a sauce pan, combine the baking soda and cornstarch and then add the water.
  2. If desired, add food coloring
  3. While cooking over medium heat, stir constantly, until the mixture is like wet mashed potatoes.
  4. Pour the mixture onto a plate or baking dish and cover with a damp cloth.
  5. Allow the mixture to cool, then knead until smooth.
  6. Use Cookie Cutters or a knife to achieve desired shapes. Use a drinking straw to create a hole for ribbon to hang with.
  7. Air dry over night or heat for 15 minutes at 250 degrees. If not dry continue heating in 5 minute intervals.
  8. Paint or decorate as desired.
