Fruit Leather Rolls from the oven

Make fruit rolls without a dehydrator

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh fruit - any flavor or combination you like.
  • 1 apple - for texture
  • 1/4 cup of water

Directions

  1. Peel and core apple and properly prepare other fruits as you would eat them.
  2. Add to a pot and heat over low/medium heat on the stove, adding just enough water to get them to soften depending on the type of fruit you are using.
  3. Once warmed and softened transfer fruit to a blender and puree. Add more water if necessary so you have a thick jelly like mixture.
  4. Line a cookie sheet or baking dish with parchment or wax paper.
  5. Thinly spread fruit onto papered cookie sheet.
  6. Heat in oven at 140-150 degrees for 5-8 hours or until it is dry enough that it does not move apart when touched.
  7. Once cooled, slice the fruit leather and paper together and roll up.
  8. Store in air tight container or bag
