Butter Spritz Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. butter, softened
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar minus 2 tablespoons
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 4 1/2 cups flour

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375º
  2. Combine butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Combine flour with salt and baking powder. Add to creamed butter mixture, 1 cup at a time.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla to butter and sugar mixture. Beat well.
  5. Use a cookie press and bake for 7-8 minutes or until bottoms of cookies are slightly browned.
