Bacon Topped Pork Chops

Baked pork chops with a garlic brown sugar topping, bacon, and cheese

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 4 slices of thick cut bacon
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 cup of shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup French's fried onions
  • Parsley

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 deg F
  2. Mix the brown sugar and garlic in a small bowl
  3. Line a 9x13 baking dish with foil
  4. Gently tenderize pork chops and place in baking dish with a little room between each
  5. Spread the brown sugar and garlic mix evenly over the top of each chop
  6. Cut bacon slices in half and cover tops of pork chops
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes
  8. If needed, turn to broil to reach desired crisp on bacon
  9. Top with shredded cheese and sprinkle with parsley and bake for 10 min or broil for 3 minutes
  10. Top with French's onions and bake or broil until they start to darken.
