Chick Fil-A Knock Off

A semi re-creation of the classic Chick Fil-A sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dill pickle juice (pickling spices drained through fine sieve)
  • 1 1/2 cups milk, divided
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 Tablespoon confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Peanut oil for frying

Directions

  1. Soak chicken breasts in pickle juice overnight
  2. Combine dry ingredients into a shallow pie plate or gallon size zip lock bag and set aside
  3. Drain pickle juice from chicken and combine with 1/2 cup milk
  4. In a separate shallow dish combine remaining 1 cup of milk and egg.
  5. Dip chicken into the milk and egg mixture, then into the combined dry ingredients.
  6. Fry in peanut oil heated to 350ยบ 4-5 minutes until crispy

Notes

Walmart may carry bottled pickle juice without the pickles
