Sugar and Spice Almonds

A sweet and savory snack

Ingredients

  • 1/3 Cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 Cups natural whole almonds
  • 3 Tablespoons light corn syrup

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 deg F
  2. Coat a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. In a cup or small bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg and set aside.
  4. In a small bowl, stir together almonds and corn syrup until almonds are well coated.
  5. Add sugar mixture to almond mixture, stirring until ingredients are well combined.
  6. Spread onto greased baking sheet and bake about 10 minutes or until sugar coasting is bubbly and almonds are browned.
  7. Let cool on baking sheet to room temperature.
  8. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and to separate almonds.
  9. Store in airtight container.
