24 Hour cabbage salad

Ingredients
- 1 head green cabbage, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 1 carrot, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 3/4 cup canola or vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
Directions
- Bring the oil vinegar and sugar to a simmer.
- Pour over remaining ingredients.
- Cover tightly and refrigerate for 24 hours.
- Salad will become very crispy.
Notes
This salad will only keep for 24 hours. Dispose of any remaining servings after one day.
