Nick Foles released by Rams at his own request

Foles signed an extension last season, but the Rams are moving on.

The Los Angeles Rams have announced the release of quarterback Nick Foles. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo said Foles requested the release, and the Rams complied. After being released, Foles becomes a free agent and is not subject to waivers.
